Chronic Fatigue Clinic

Chronic Fatigue Clinic
Carolyn Leigh BSc N.Med is an ME, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue specialist in Poole, so if you’re looking for quality treatments or diagnosis then you’re in the right place. This syndrome, also referred to as CFS, appears in the form of prolonged and unexplained fatigue, plus a number of other symptoms. CFS can also be diagnosed as a post-viral fatigue syndrome and myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME).

What causes CFS/ME

Substantial research into the syndrome indicates that an individual’s genes may actually make them more susceptible to CFS. Other causes include viral infections, severe trauma and severe depression. Major life events, such as bereavement and poor diet, can also be factors that can contribute to the syndrome.

Symptoms

Chronic Fatigue and ME have very similar symptoms that include severe fatigue, muscular pain, IBS, insomnia, Flu-type symptoms, headaches, fogginess of the brain and aching.

CFS/ME Fibromyalgia Solutions

Here at BClinical Ltd, we only offer non-invasive therapeutic natural methods as part of our therapies. We offer diagnosis laboratory testing including:

  • Adrenal Stress DHEA profile
  • CFS Profile, ATP /Mitochondrial Profile
  • Chronic Viral profile
  • Heavy Metal testing
  • Candida, Bacterial and Parasitology testing
  • Full Thyroid profile
  • Optimum Nutrition Profile
  • B12 testing

We understand that these conditions are complicated and have many symptoms. Conventional medicines have little effect on CFS and ME, whereas nutritional therapies and medicines can help you to live your day-to-day life more comfortably. Specialist Protocol for CFS/ME

Here at Bclinical Ltd, Carolyn has created a unique ‘Step in Time’ protocol for patients that suffer with chronic fatigue, ME and Fibromyalgia which includes:

  • Clinical Diagnosis
  • Assessment
  • Testing
  • Management

Stage 1 – Specialist Medical Review

Before your first consultation, you will receive a medical and dietary questionnaire. We will discuss this further with you as part of your initial consultation. To ensure that we provide you with the correct treatments and diagnosis we will discuss the following factors with you; your medical history, lifestyle, working environment, stress, nutritional status and your fatigue status. Please rest assured that all the information you provide to us will remain entirely confidential.

Stage 2 – Clinical Diagnosis leading to a Programme of Remedial Care

Establishing the Root Cause
In order to provide you with the correct treatment we first need to locate the root cause of your chronic fatigue syndrome, ME, fibromyalgia or any other underlying conditions. After clinical diagnosis, we will create a personalised care plan and commence with your therapy treatments. We will support you by monitoring your progress through periodical consultations that are essential to get you onto the road to recovery.

Laboratory Testing
Testing is an integral part of your diagnosis; therefore we are dedicated to only using fully accredited laboratories that are based in the UK. Testing allows us to scientifically analyse the functions of your body’s organs and systems.

Stage 3 – Roadmap for Interventional Care

Stage 3 depends on the diagnosis. Your roadmap (treatment) may include the prescription of natural medicine or dietary changes. Our select team of NLP and EFT practitioners may also advise recommendations for intervention. The roadmap is designed to help you to get yourself on the road to recovery, and have a better standard of life.

Stage 4 – Commitment to You

We are committed to remaining with you as your specialist until you feel that you are able to return to your everyday life with a sense of normality. We have extensive experience in the nutrition therapy industry, and our patients can confirm that this plan works.
